Grande aigrette / Great egret

A peu près à pareille date l'an passé, j'étais au Texas pour un voyage ornitho/photo. Cette photo a été prise au fameux « Smith Oaks Sanctuary » de la municipalité d'High Island où les amateurs de photographie d'oiseaux sont comblés. / At about this time last year, I was in Texas for an ornithology and photography tour. This photo was taken at the famous "Smith Oaks Sanctuary" in the municipality of High Island where the photographers of birds are very fortunate.

J'ai commencé à m'intéresser à l'observation d'oiseaux peu après avoir déménagé à Granby à l'automne 2003. C'est devenu rapidement une passion. Mon mari étant plus intéressé par la photo, il s'est procuré , en mars 2006, un appareil pour photographier les oiseaux et m'accompagner dans ma folie. Pendant quelques années, je lui ai emprunté son appareil, jusqu'à ce qu'il renouvelle son équipement l'été dernier. J'ai alors "hérité" de l'ancien - Canon 30D et lentille 100-400 avec stabilisateur d'images :o))) La madame est bien contente.

We are talking serious photography here . . this is a wonderful capture and they have each posed perfectly for you! I’m interested in the camera/lens for this.

Hi Ronnie. First, thank you for your appreciation. We were very fortunate to have access to this wonderful family ! It was taken with a Canon 30D and a Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM. Thanks again.

Belle photo d'une aigrette au travail de mère... J'ai eu la chance de voir une juste en haut de ma roulotte dans un pin à aiguilles longues ainsi qu'à Huntingdon Beach dans un marécage.

Very good shot ! It´s not so easy to make a good photo from white birds ! All details are to see in white. I cannot say it betterin English, but I think, you know what I will say !
