Goéland à bec cerclé / Ring-billed Gull

Posted by Suzanne Labbé (Granby, Canada) on 10 April 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

Ici nous avons une version "juvénile" du Goéland à bec cerclé. Difficile à croire que, sous peu, il aura cette apparence / We have here the juvenile Ring-billed Gull. It's hard to beleive that he will look like it soon :

A very atractive image, Suzanne. I like the colors of the gull, the blue of the water and that excellent reflection!

Nice shot. And, yes they will change quickly. We have some geese nesting just outside my condo. They use the rocks around the edge of the pond for nesting. This allows us to see the goslings grow and change.

I agree the speed of development in the young ones is unbelievable . . what a wonderful time of year this is. Neat composition/crop here.
