Le papillon tigré du Canada est l'un des papillons diurnes les mieux connus au Canada en raison de sa grande taille (envergure : 53 à 90 mm) et des motifs spectaculaires créés par ses larges bandes noires se découpant sur le fond jaune des ailes. / The Canadian Tiger Swallowtail is one of the best-known butterflies in this country because of its size (wingspan: 53 to 90 mm) and distinctive pattern. The yellow ground colour with wide, black tiger stripes catches the attention of even the most casual observer. It has a wide, black band along the inner margin of the hindwing. The underside is yellow, often with extensive over-scaling of orange, and black.
Je serai absente pour quelques jours - Je pars dans une région du Québec réputée pour ses moustiques voraces. J'espère revenir avec beaucoup de photos d'oiseaux qui se nourrissent de ces moustiques :o) / I will be away for few days - I'm going into a region of Quebec well known for its voracious mosquitoes. I hope to come back with lots of pictures of birds that feed with these mosquitoes: :o)
